Overview: A Dutch company/legal entity may have an Attorney/Authorized Representative(s), who will represent a company/legal entity and enter into transactions on its behalf.
Purpose: Add (appoint) an Attorney/Authorized Representative of a company/legal entity
Main specifications:
- Multiple appointments simultaneously are possible
- Natural and/or legal person may be appointed
- Power of representation must be clearly defined
Registering authority: the Dutch Trade Register
Term of registration: 2-3 working days
Personal presence: Optional
Conditions for registration:
- The decision of the board of directors to add (appoint) an Attorney/Authorized Representative.
- Attorney/Authorized Representative – Minimum 1 (maximum – unlimited) natural/legal person of any nationality/jurisdiction
- Power of representation (full, joint with other Attorney/Authorized Representative(s) or limited to certain amounts, etc.)
Required documents:
- Passport or European ID card (for all associated persons)
- Proof of residential address not older than 3 months (for all associated natural persons)
- Extract from the Trade Register not older than 3 months (for all associated legal persons)
- Signed Decision on the appointment of the Attorney/Authorized Representative of the company/legal entity
